Srinagar, Feb 3 (TKHN): On the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Barat, the Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir and Chairman of the Muslim Personal Law Board, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the entire Muslim Ummah.
In his message, the Grand Mufti, as per The Kashmir Honour News (TKHN), described Shab-e-Barat as a sacred and blessed night, emphasising its great spiritual significance in Islam. He said the night should be observed through special prayers, recitation of the Holy Qur’an, remembrance of Allah (Zikr), and supplication, as prescribed in Islamic teachings.
Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam urged the faithful to make the most of this blessed night by seeking forgiveness, engaging in repentance (Tauba), and offering sincere prayers, asking Allah Almighty for mercy and guidance.
On the occasion, he prayed for peace, prosperity, spiritual awakening, and well-being of the Muslim world, with special prayers for Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed hope that the sacred night would bring goodness, blessings, and harmony to humanity. (TKHN)
