Srinagar, Feb 16: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha has ordered the reopening of 14 tourist destinations across the Union Territory following a comprehensive security review and detailed discussions with senior officials.
The destinations had been temporarily closed as a precautionary measure. After assessing the overall security scenario, the administration has decided to reopen these sites with immediate effect to facilitate tourism activities while ensuring adequate safety arrangements.

- Wullar Lake (Watlab)
Officials further stated that additional destinations — Gurez Valley, Athwatoo, Bangus Valley and Ramkund — will be reopened once snow clearance operations are completed.
The administration has assured that all necessary security and safety measures remain in place to ensure a safe environment for tourists and local stakeholders.
