Srinagar, May 26: One youth lost his life while three others were injured after a vehicle plunged into the Dal Lake on Foreshore Road in Srinagar on Monday evening.
Reports said an Eco Sports vehicle bearing registration number JK01V-3260 hit a divider before falling into the lake near Lashkari Mohalla, resulting in the on-spot death of one youth and injuries to three others.
The injured were shifted to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Soura for treatment.
The deceased was identified as Zameer Showkat, a resident of Rainawari.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation.
