Israel Launches Strikes in Iran Hours After Iranian Missile Attack on Ramat David Air Base

Israel said it had carried out strikes on military targets in western and central Iran, hours after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for a ballistic missile attack on the Ramat David Air Base in northern Israel.

In a statement, the Israeli military said its forces struck military targets linked to the Iranian regime, adding that further details would be released later.

Earlier, the IRGC said its Aerospace Force targeted the Ramat David Air Base with ballistic missiles, describing the facility as a launch point for Israeli operations against southern Lebanon, including strikes on Tyre, Nabatieh and Beirut’s southern suburbs.

Iran said the missile attack was a response to what it described as continued Israeli aggression in Lebanon despite a ceasefire arrangement. The IRGC warned that any further attacks would be met with a broader response targeting American and Israeli interests in the region.

The latest exchange marks a further escalation in tensions between Iran and Israel, raising concerns over the potential for wider regional instability.
