Srinagar, Jun 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Friday refuted reports claiming that the syllabus and courses of study for Classes 9 to 12 have been changed, describing the information circulated by some media outlets as misleading.
In a clarification issued by the Director Academics, JKBOSE said no changes have been made to the curriculum or courses of study for the ongoing academic session.
The Board clarified that the syllabus for Punjabi, Physical Education and Functional English in Class 11 was updated through a notification issued in March 2026, before the commencement of the academic session.
It added that the syllabus for Environmental Science and Education subjects in Class 12 had also been updated, with a notification issued in early March 2026 to inform students, schools and other stakeholders.
JKBOSE advised stakeholders to rely on official notifications issued by the Board for accurate information regarding academic matters.
