Srinagar, June 3: The Directorate of Colleges, Higher Education Department, has published the Round-1 College/Major Allotment List for Undergraduate (UG) admissions for the 2026–27 academic session and advised aspirants to check their allotment status on the centralized admission portal.
According to an official notice issued by Director Colleges, Dr. Sheikh Ajaz Bashir, candidates allotted colleges and majors in the first round must complete the admission process by depositing the prescribed fee online through the admission portal by June 6.
Students may either confirm their allotment by paying the full admission fee or opt for upgradation by paying an additional fee of ₹1,000 to be considered for a higher preference in the next round. Candidates opting only for upgradation are not required to visit their allotted colleges at this stage.
Those confirming their admission will have to report to their allotted colleges for physical verification of original documents and completion of admission formalities between June 8 and June 10.
The notice further states that aspirants who were not allotted any college or programme in Round-1 will be given an opportunity to revise or add preferences from June 8 to June 10 before the commencement of the second allotment round.
Round-2 allotments, including upgradations and fresh allotments, will be announced on June 12, while admission formalities for selected candidates will continue from June 13 to June 19.
Candidates who have not yet registered for admissions will be allowed to participate during the spot round scheduled from June 21 to June 25 against vacant seats.
The Directorate has also informed students that class work will commence from June 20 in Winter Zone colleges and from July 15 in Summer Zone colleges.
Students have been advised to regularly visit the admission portal for updates and ensure that all admission-related formalities are completed within the prescribed timelines to avoid cancellation of allotted seats.
